Have used Atlanta Property Inspections several times for my buyers.  Their team is always very thorough and educational for the new home owners.  Much information is shared about past/current codes, potential issues and how to have the issues repaired.  I will continue to use Atlanta Property Inspectors for future inspections, and my clients have been very happy with their services as well!

Atlanta property inspections gave me a very competitor quote and stuck to it for final pricing. They were able to get someone out to do the inspection so quickly. Frank and James were very thorough and helpful during the process they encouraged me to look at what they found, the good and bad, so I knew exactly what I am buying.  I couldn't have asked for a better inspection experience!

I have hired this company doing inspection on the property that I was planning to purchase in Georgia. I’ve live in California when this was done. Frank Cooper and his team did a great job of inspection and giving me with every details. I really appreciate the advice and the report. Thank you

The inspector was really thorough and was patient in explaining to me what he was observing. He showed me where the shutoff valve was for the water and gave recommendations on various things. The report that was provided made sense and pictures were taken of some things that were found. The inspector was also very personable which put me at ease about asking questions. Thank you, Alex and Atlanta Property Inspections!

My client used the company for their home inspection during their due diligence period. Jeremy and his partner were very kind and accommodating with answering questions. The report was very thorough and I like that they also note positive things about the homes in their report as well and not just what's wrong with the house. You can read the good and the bad.

Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. was referred to us by our realtor for our home inspection. Our inspector was Cary Cooper. He really took the time to answer all of our questions about his findings. We didn't feel rushed or that any question was too silly. He gave us peace of mind with a few of our concerns and was honest, even if we weren't to thrilled with the news. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely use (and refer)  Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. in the future for any inspection needs.

Dustin was very knowledgeable and friendly and made my client feel confident in his explanations.  He was quick to point out the positives of the home he was inspecting.  His report was delivered within 18 hours of the inspection and had plenty of photos and very easy explanations in laymen's terms. I highly recommend Atlanta Property Inspections.

The inspector Frank came to our house to inspect the deck and provide a list of safety problems. While he was there we asked him to take a look at some termite damage in the attic.  When he went to the attic he spotted problems with a squirrel infestation requiring immediate action to correct for chewed wiring and unsanitary conditions.  We were unaware of this problem.  Frank provided a comprehensive inspection report in PDF format including multiple photos showing deck post deterioration, sagging joists and yes even a picture of the live squirrel in the attic. Frank is totally professional, knows his area of expertise very well and offers sound recommendations on how to correct problems without spending money for unnecessary improvements.  For example he told us the ledger board was in good shape and did not have to be replaced, only secured to the house wall with additional bolts. The small amount we paid for the inspection was well spent because the inspection will end up saving us money in the long run.

How Accessible is Your Home?

Home accessibility must be well thought of, whether due to a person’s age or ability. Although outside factors may be hard for you to adapt to, we can make inside the house very comfortable for you. Throughout this article, we will look more into the accessibility of your home by knowing the questions to ask yourself, ways to make it more accessible, and how Atlanta Property Inspection can help. So, let’s get started.

Questions You Should Ask Yourself

Home accessibility depends on four questions. If we can answer "Yes, of course!" to these questions, we know that that is an excellent place to be. However, if we answer yes to the questions but still have a hard time accomplishing these tasks, then read the next section. The first question you should ask is whether or not you can easily get into the house. The second question is, do you find it easy to enter through the doorways? The last question is whether or not you can reach the places of equipment you use daily. This can be counters, glasses, plates, etc.

Ways to Make Your House More Accessible

Firstly, you can try changing the doorway entrance. Many people have difficulty entering or exiting through the doorway, but this can easily be changed. There are two things you can do: either get an automatic door-opening system or get a custom doorway made for you.

Secondly, you can change the flooring. For people who use a wheelchair, flooring plays a significant role. It is harder for them to move, especially with a thick carpet. In these cases, you can change the flooring.

Lastly, you can try turning the house into a smart home. What we mean by this is that everything is in your hand with modern technology. With your phone, you can open and close the curtains and control the light, heating, TV, and other equipment as well. This would be convenient for the person that wants to make their house more accessible.

How to Choose the Right Home Inspection Company

When you want to take action to make your home accessible, know these things. A home inspection can help you identify the places in your house you can change within your budget. However, not all home-inspection companies offer this service. For this, you need to find the right company. Fortunately, the right company is here, waiting for you to take action.
