This was our first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections, Frank Cooper was the lead inspector and he was inspecting a new construction one bedroom plus den in Alpharetta for a buyer client of ours. The inspection report was both detailed and comprehensive. We have tried out a few premium home inspection companies over the past year, looking for a good additional inspection resource, and based on our experience with Frank Cooper, I think we have found it.

The inspector was really thorough and was patient in explaining to me what he was observing. He showed me where the shutoff valve was for the water and gave recommendations on various things. The report that was provided made sense and pictures were taken of some things that were found. The inspector was also very personable which put me at ease about asking questions. Thank you, Alex and Atlanta Property Inspections!

Frank Cooper and his team from Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc were excellent! They arrived on time  and thoroughly inspected all areas of the property I was considering renting. They found things that needed to be repaired by the landlord before we signed the lease. Frank reviewed his findings with us. He explained all of his concerns, and he patiently answered all of our questions. Then the next day I received a very detailed report that included several pictures and detailed explanations. If you want a kind, knowledgeable, and thorough inspector, don’t hesitate to call Frank Cooper with Atlanta Property. I would highly recommend him! Truly a 5 star company!

Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. was referred to us by our realtor for our home inspection. Our inspector was Cary Cooper. He really took the time to answer all of our questions about his findings. We didn't feel rushed or that any question was too silly. He gave us peace of mind with a few of our concerns and was honest, even if we weren't to thrilled with the news. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely use (and refer)  Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. in the future for any inspection needs.

The inspector Frank came to our house to inspect the deck and provide a list of safety problems. While he was there we asked him to take a look at some termite damage in the attic.  When he went to the attic he spotted problems with a squirrel infestation requiring immediate action to correct for chewed wiring and unsanitary conditions.  We were unaware of this problem.  Frank provided a comprehensive inspection report in PDF format including multiple photos showing deck post deterioration, sagging joists and yes even a picture of the live squirrel in the attic. Frank is totally professional, knows his area of expertise very well and offers sound recommendations on how to correct problems without spending money for unnecessary improvements.  For example he told us the ledger board was in good shape and did not have to be replaced, only secured to the house wall with additional bolts. The small amount we paid for the inspection was well spent because the inspection will end up saving us money in the long run.

WOW! I can't even make this story up. In this very crazy market (June 2021) it seemingly takes 2 week closing (sometimes with *0* days due diligence!) to purchase a home. Anyway, Frank came recommended by another very reputable inspector, and I was fortunate he came!! The home we were looking at for my mother was a 1975 build and within 1 hour of the inspector being there a FIRE from an electrical panel broke out! Frank contained the fire, and was SO calm, had his team address the matter, was in touch with the agent and homeowner. He said in over 20+ years of him inspecting homes nothing like this had ever happened. Anyway the inspection was VERY thorough and Frank handled all matters very professionally. We will be working with Frank and his team on any home inspections in the future. I highly recommend!

We are relocating from out of state and we were in need of an inspection with a very tight turn around. We received incredibly thorough reporting and an availability to answer questions quickly. Cary Cooper’s professional and expert insight saved us from a potential health hazard. I would very much recommend Atlanta Property Inspection for any of your inspection needs!

Is Thermal Imaging Worth it for a Home Inspection?

Would you like to get a home inspection? Many people think that based on their needs, the best inspection service to get is a home inspection. However, did you know that thermal imaging inspections give a comprehensive assessment of your property? Throughout this article, we will go through what thermal imaging is and how it works, the three benefits of thermal imaging for home inspections, the advantages of home inspections, and how Atlanta Property Inspection can help.

What Is Thermal Imaging and How Does it Work?

A thermal imaging camera, otherwise known as an infrared camera, has sensors that can detect infrared radiation. This radiation isn’t harmful to our health and can’t be visible to the human eye. If an object emits heat, it releases this radiation. So, a thermal imaging camera understands where this radiation comes from and shows it in a thermogram. This thermogram shows an outline of the pointed objects with colors from blue to red. Yellow and red indicate warm areas, whereas blue indicates cooler areas.

Three Benefits of Thermal Imaging for Home Inspections

Thermal imaging has three main benefits. Let’s go over them in this section:

  1. Identifying Potential Water Leaks: If water leaks are not detected by the homeowner, leaving them unattended can cause structural damage to your house. The problem is being able to identify these leaks. With thermal imaging, you can identify if there are any water leaks around your house by detecting the moisture amount in a specific region.
  2. Thermal Imaging is Non-Invasive: If a home inspector in Marietta, GA suspected a problem but wasn’t sure, they might have needed to open and break the walls. However, with this modern technology, most of these problems related to plumbing can be detected with thermal imaging, making it a non-invasive inspection method for the homeowner.
  3. Quick, Easy & Efficient: Depending on the size of the house, an thermal imaging inspection can be conducted within minutes to a few hours. Learn more about the benefits by calling Atlanta Property Inspection today.

What Is the Advantage of Home Inspections?

Home inspections are important to identify the safety of your house and to see if there are any problems with it. If you are buying or selling a house, this is a must. As a buyer, you can get an inspection and use the report to negotiate on the price of the house. As a seller, you can use it to fix certain parts of the house and increase its value.
