Thorough knowledge of items addressed in report. Home inspector was able to communicate any issues found with buyer and help explain the different items and their severity.

Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. was referred to us by our realtor for our home inspection. Our inspector was Cary Cooper. He really took the time to answer all of our questions about his findings. We didn't feel rushed or that any question was too silly. He gave us peace of mind with a few of our concerns and was honest, even if we weren't to thrilled with the news. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely use (and refer)  Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. in the future for any inspection needs.

I called several companies for quotes, and I felt that Atlanta Property Inspections was the most welcoming!  Thereafter, I had a wonderful experience at the inspection. My inspector was thorough, kind, and willing to explain things and answer my questions on site.  He was very knowledgeable and very friendly.  I am glad I did not skip the inspection for this 950 square foot condo, and the review has been very helpful, during my due diligence period in evaluating this potential home.

I have hired this company doing inspection on the property that I was planning to purchase in Georgia. I’ve live in California when this was done. Frank Cooper and his team did a great job of inspection and giving me with every details. I really appreciate the advice and the report. Thank you

This was our first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections, Frank Cooper was the lead inspector and he was inspecting a new construction one bedroom plus den in Alpharetta for a buyer client of ours. The inspection report was both detailed and comprehensive. We have tried out a few premium home inspection companies over the past year, looking for a good additional inspection resource, and based on our experience with Frank Cooper, I think we have found it.

WOW! I can't even make this story up. In this very crazy market (June 2021) it seemingly takes 2 week closing (sometimes with *0* days due diligence!) to purchase a home. Anyway, Frank came recommended by another very reputable inspector, and I was fortunate he came!! The home we were looking at for my mother was a 1975 build and within 1 hour of the inspector being there a FIRE from an electrical panel broke out! Frank contained the fire, and was SO calm, had his team address the matter, was in touch with the agent and homeowner. He said in over 20+ years of him inspecting homes nothing like this had ever happened. Anyway the inspection was VERY thorough and Frank handled all matters very professionally. We will be working with Frank and his team on any home inspections in the future. I highly recommend!

Dustin was very knowledgeable and friendly and made my client feel confident in his explanations.  He was quick to point out the positives of the home he was inspecting.  His report was delivered within 18 hours of the inspection and had plenty of photos and very easy explanations in laymen's terms. I highly recommend Atlanta Property Inspections.

This was my first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections. Alex Sozonov was my inspector. Very oriented details and willing to explained all questions with professional knowledge. Report came into my email box late night. Clearly, it has been covered all details. Plus, show up on time.

Wind mitigation inspection is one of the best services a homeowner living in a city where storms are frequent can take. However, only a few people know about this, so we have decided to put an end to it. Throughout this article, we will go through what a wind mitigation inspection is, what parts of the house are inspected, how it helps homeowners, and how Atlanta Property Inspection can help you with your inspection. Well, let’s get going.

What Exactly Is Wind Mitigation Inspection?

There is a very common misunderstanding of the word wind mitigation. The simple definition is the process in which your home is inspected to see if it has the necessary structure or features to have more resistance to major winds like that of a storm.

What Parts of the House are Inspected?

When it comes to wind mitigation, home inspectors look at very specific things in the house. Let’s cover a few in this section to learn more about it together.

  • The first thing that many home inspectors look at is the roof's age, which primarily determines whether its current state can meet that of the government.
  • The second thing is the shape of your roof. Modern roofing systems have a very particular shape compared to the roofs of older houses. This is because it can resist stronger winds.
  • The last thing is the roof and foundation connection. This is to check if the roof is firmly held and will hold the house against those winds.

How Wind Mitigation Inspection Helps Homeowners

Of course, every cost brings many benefits with it. Let’s learn a few of them in this section.

  • The first one is safety. The whole purpose of inspecting is to see what parts should be fixed or added. This allows your house to be safe from a bad storm and brings comfort.
  • The second is savings. Did you know that your mitigation inspection can help you save money from your homeowner insurance? Yes, that's right. Many companies provide additional discounts to homeowners that use this service. This allows significant money saving for you in the long term.
  • By seeing the damage ahead of time, you can prevent it from worsening in the future and save yourself repair bills.

There are so many benefits, but we listed some above. However, for all these benefits to apply to your house, you need the right company for you.
