This was our first experience with Atlanta Property Inspections, Frank Cooper was the lead inspector and he was inspecting a new construction one bedroom plus den in Alpharetta for a buyer client of ours. The inspection report was both detailed and comprehensive. We have tried out a few premium home inspection companies over the past year, looking for a good additional inspection resource, and based on our experience with Frank Cooper, I think we have found it.

Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. was referred to us by our realtor for our home inspection. Our inspector was Cary Cooper. He really took the time to answer all of our questions about his findings. We didn't feel rushed or that any question was too silly. He gave us peace of mind with a few of our concerns and was honest, even if we weren't to thrilled with the news. Overall, it was a great experience and we would definitely use (and refer)  Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc. in the future for any inspection needs.

Frank Cooper and his team from Atlanta Property Inspections, Inc were excellent! They arrived on time  and thoroughly inspected all areas of the property I was considering renting. They found things that needed to be repaired by the landlord before we signed the lease. Frank reviewed his findings with us. He explained all of his concerns, and he patiently answered all of our questions. Then the next day I received a very detailed report that included several pictures and detailed explanations. If you want a kind, knowledgeable, and thorough inspector, don’t hesitate to call Frank Cooper with Atlanta Property. I would highly recommend him! Truly a 5 star company!

My client used the company for their home inspection during their due diligence period. Jeremy and his partner were very kind and accommodating with answering questions. The report was very thorough and I like that they also note positive things about the homes in their report as well and not just what's wrong with the house. You can read the good and the bad.

The inspector was really thorough and was patient in explaining to me what he was observing. He showed me where the shutoff valve was for the water and gave recommendations on various things. The report that was provided made sense and pictures were taken of some things that were found. The inspector was also very personable which put me at ease about asking questions. Thank you, Alex and Atlanta Property Inspections!

How To Clean Sediment from Water Lines?

Water pipes are the most challenging part of your plumbing system. They can be damaged easily due to external and internal conditions, and when the problems with the pipes start affecting our water quality, things can get very nerve-wracking. Of course, the water inside the pipes is never 100%. There are always certain elements, minerals, and sediment inside our water. Unfortunately, these particles can clog the pipes and harms your water heater and your health. So, these sediments need to be rid of. You can do this by yourself or through a professional plumbing company. If you choose to do it on your own, we will talk about the steps of cleaning.

How To Detect Sediment in Your Water Line?

To get rid of the sediment in your pipes, you should first know there is sediment. So, how can you detect it?

  • Discolored Water: If your once-clear water has begun to run yellow or brown, this is a solid sign of sediment in your water.
  • Slow Plumbing: This is another example of sediment buildup if it takes a very long time to fill something up because of the water amount coming from the pipes.
  • Taste: most of the time, water with sediment releases an odd smell like rotten eggs or tastes weird. So, if something is off with the taste of your water, sediment is probably the reason.

Steps of Cleaning the Sediment

The first step is to cover the drain with a towel. Afterward, unscrew the tip of the faucet using a washcloth. Then you will see the aerator, which has three parts. Carefully remove these parts and be careful about their placement (it will be important later). After removing them, thoroughly put these parts in a bowl with vinegar and baking soda and clean the rest of the residues with the help of a cloth or a needle. When you’re sure all the parts are clean, rinse the pieces with water. Then, put the pieces of the aerator together and screw them back. This was the first step. After this, using only cold water, you should open 4-5 faucets and run them for about 30 minutes. At the same time, run the outdoor hose. Hopefully, after half an hour, you can see your water clearing up.

Water Filters

Of course, the ideal scenario is preventing sedimentation in the first place. Luckily, whole-house water filters are effective methods to avoid excessive sedimentation. These devices filter out the excessive mineral and sediments in your water throughout the house and prevent sedimentation.

The Right Guide

After cleaning the sediment, inspecting your house pipes is an excellent idea to ensure your pipes are clean. Most of the time, homeowners don’t have the necessary tools and knowledge to complete this inspection, but plumbers do. If you need an inspection of your pipes or don’t want to deal with the cleaning of the pipes on your own, you can always use the help of a professional plumber. If you are looking for a reliable plumbing company in your area, reach out to professionals of Atlanta Property Inspection. Our team will guide you in finding the most reliable plumbing professionals and give you peace of mind.
